In interior finishing, it is easiest to admire the whole. We also like to look at the places where shortcuts, haste and lack of planning most often become visible.
Grout lines, corners, skirting boards, colour edges, built-ins, lighting and wood reveal whether someone simply finished the work or truly completed it.
Geometry first
Tile axes, grout widths, cuts, angles, levels and material transitions are planned before the work begins. Later it is too late to save the effect elegantly.
Then the layers
Primer, waterproofing, adhesive, grout, compound, paint, varnish and impregnation are not cosmetics. They are technical decisions that determine the durability of the finished interior.
Finally, the atmosphere
Only a well-made detail allows materials, light and colours to feel calm. Without it, even expensive elements can look accidental.
Tile layout and grout
Precision in every line
Well-laid tiles are not just about even installation, but about the entire surface layout: direction, format, cuts, corners, levels and grout width. With larger formats, strong light and open spaces, it is immediately visible whether the tiles were properly set out, whether the plane is held and whether the grout lines create a calm, logical rhythm. That is why the final effect begins with a plan, not with adhesive.
Setting out the surface
Before installation, we define the laying direction, starting points, main sight lines and ending points. This means tiles are not placed randomly and the grout naturally organises the whole surface.
Plane and levels
We check the substrate, levels, slopes and places where light may reveal unevenness. The tile must work well with the substrate, because even perfect grout will not hide height differences.
Format and joint
We match the grout width to the tile format, edge type, manufacturer recommendations and character of the room. With large tiles, the joint must be even, but also technically safe for the whole surface.
Cuts and endings
Most quality shows at walls, thresholds, corners, drains, built-ins and transitions between materials. We plan these places earlier so tiles and grout close the layout cleanly, without the impression of a random correction.
45° mitred tile corners
A beautiful edge without a trim
Cutting tiles at 45° lets you close a corner without a visible trim, but it requires very precise preparation. A repeatable angle, even bevel, chip control, proper matching of two planes and edge protection all matter. With tiles that have a strong pattern, it also matters how the design continues around the corner, because even a well-cut tile can look accidental if the material layout was not planned.
Repeatable cutting angle
Edges must be guided evenly and at a consistent angle, without waviness or random removal of material. With porcelain tiles, sintered slabs and hard-glazed tiles, this directly affects the look of the entire corner.
Matching two planes
A corner is where two surfaces meet. That is why we control not only the cut itself, but also verticals, levels, adhesive thickness and the position of tiles relative to one another.
Continuity of the tile pattern
With tiles imitating stone, marble or concrete, the direction of veining and pattern placement matter. A well-planned corner looks like a natural transition of material, not like two random pieces joined together.
Protection of a delicate edge
A 45° cut gives an elegant effect, but the edge remains more demanding than with a trim. That is why we match the solution to the location, load, intensity of use and tile type.
Colour, edges and corners
A clean line with a strong colour
Strong colours, dark skirting boards and clear colour breaks can give an interior a very elegant character, but they require careful wall preparation and a conscious order of work. On saturated surfaces, substrate unevenness, roller texture, a crooked corner, poorly removed tape or an unfinished joint with a skirting board become visible faster. With these details, it is not only the colour that matters, but also surface smoothness, line sharpness, painting method and a clean finish at the floor.
Substrate preparation
Before painting, we check wall smoothness, corners, plane joints and substrate absorbency. A dark or saturated colour does not hide imperfections. It often reveals them even more.
Colour edge
An even line between colours requires proper protection, the right tape, controlled paint quantity and the right moment to remove it. Taping the edge alone is not enough if the substrate is uneven.
Corners and edges
Where two planes meet, it is immediately visible whether the corner is vertical and the colour line is straight. This place must be refined before painting, not corrected with paint alone.
Connection with the skirting board
The skirting board, wall colour and floor create one finishing line. Clean fitting, even placement, aesthetic joints and no random gaps at the edge are all important.

A clean finish at the floor
The meeting point of floor, wall and skirting board is one of the details that quickly reveals the quality of the whole finish. A skirting board is not only there to cover an expansion gap. It should close the floor edge, keep an even line along the wall, work aesthetically with door frames and create a clean transition between materials. That is why the profile itself matters, but so do wall preparation, installation accuracy, joint quality and the way the painting finish is handled.
Wall preparation
A skirting board looks good only when it has an even surface to sit against. Before installation, we check the wall plane, corners and places where even a small curve could later open a gap or disturb a straight line.
Joints and corners
Segment lengths, angled cuts and corner endings must be consistent throughout the interior. With dark or tall skirting boards, every inaccuracy becomes more visible, so repeatability and clean fitting are especially important.
Expansion and floor movement
The floor needs a properly maintained expansion gap, especially with panels and boards. The skirting board should hide it aesthetically, without interfering with material movement. A good detail must be visually clean and technically correct at the same time.
Finish at the wall
The final effect is built by small things: an even paint line, clean acrylic sealing, no excess material and a calm transition between skirting board and wall. This is where detail stops being an addition and starts organising the whole interior.
Built-ins and LED light
Light built into the detail
An illuminated niche looks light only when the structure, finish and installation are planned as one detail. Light must not reveal wavy planes, visible LED points, poorly hidden profiles or a randomly selected colour temperature. With this kind of built-in, not only the aesthetics of shelves and niche proportions matter, but also space for equipment, finish quality and the way light is guided through the whole composition.
Space for equipment
The profile, cables, power supply and connections must be planned already at the built-in stage. Service access is also important so the detail stays aesthetic not only on handover day, but also after years of use.
A uniform line of light
The perception of light depends on the quality of the LED strip, diode density, profile type, diffuser and distance from the illuminated plane. Well-made lighting creates an even line, not a row of visible points.
An even niche interior
Side light immediately reveals unevenness, breaks and unfinished corners. That is why the inside of a built-in requires very precise filling, sanding and calm finishing of every plane.
Colour temperature and control
Light temperature should be matched to the materials and character of the interior. It works differently with wood, black surfaces, stone or dark built-ins. Control is just as important, because it lets the detail keep the right mood and function.
Solid wood furniture
Natural grain, refined form
Tables, coffee tables and consoles made of solid wood have something that cannot be repeated in mass production: grain layout, natural edges, knots, colour variation and the irregular rhythm of the material. For such a piece to look noble rather than accidental, the wood must be properly selected, dried, stabilised, flattened and protected for its specific use. Only then can the natural form work in the interior as a strong, elegant detail.
Wood selection
Not every board is suitable for a table, coffee table or console. We check moisture, stability, grain layout, cracks, knots and how the natural edge will look in the finished piece.
Plane and proportions
The top must be even, comfortable to use and well matched to the scale of the interior. With live edge pieces, we control thickness, length, width, edge flow and whether the organic form does not dominate the entire space.
Structure and support
The base must carry the weight of solid wood, maintain stability and match the character of the piece. A low coffee table, dining table and narrow hallway console are each designed differently.
Finish and protection
We protect the surface for real use: touch, cups, decorations, everyday wiping and changing light. The right sanding, oil, varnish or wax matters, as does preserving the natural character of the wood.
Shelves, shelving and display
Natural form, stable installation
Solid wood shelves and shelving can become a strong interior feature, but they must be designed not only for appearance, but also for load, fixing method and everyday use. With a natural edge, visible knots and irregular wood structure, flattening, proper thickness, material stabilisation, support selection and a clean wall connection all matter. Only then does the shelf look light while remaining secure, functional and durable.
Material selection
For shelves, we choose wood with the right moisture, thickness and stability. Beautiful grain is not enough; the element must not warp, twist or move too much after installation.
Structure and load capacity
A shelf must be matched to real load: ceramics, books, decorations, glass or everyday objects. A light display shelf, long wall element and shelving section are each designed differently.
Wall installation
The wall type, element length, shelf depth and support method determine installation safety. Hidden fixings look best, but require precise preparation and proper anchoring.
Surface finish
A shelf is close to hands and objects, so the surface must feel pleasant, be well sanded and protected. Edges, underside and places visible from the side or below also matter.
Wood in the bathroom
Natural form in a demanding zone
Wood in the washbasin zone creates a very noble effect, but requires much more execution discipline than in dry interior areas. Here, the appearance of the top and natural edge matters, but so do water resistance, proper surface protection, correct cuts for the basin and tap, and how the top works with the cabinetry below. For such a detail to age well, everyday use, moisture contact and the places most exposed to material movement must be anticipated.
Wood selection and stabilisation
For the washbasin zone, we select material with the right moisture, stability and structure. Beautiful grain matters, but so does how the wood will behave in a room with increased humidity.
Surface protection
The top surface is not the only important area. Edges, the underside, cut-outs and areas around openings matter too. We choose a protection system so the wood resists splashes, cleaning and everyday contact with water.
Basin, tap and seals
Places where elements pass through the top must be very precisely prepared and tightly finished. Around the basin, tap and wall joint, problems appear most easily if the detail was not technically planned.
Working with the cabinetry
The top must be well supported, correctly seated and logically connected with the cabinet and installation. Stability, service access, ventilation and a light-looking result prepared for real use all matter.

A solid wood lamp is not an ordinary accessory. It combines natural material, hand finishing, electrical installation and light control. With such elements, not only the visual effect matters, but also wood stability, cable concealment, light source selection, operating temperature and safe mounting. Wood selection and stabilisation
For lamps, we select wood with the right structure, moisture and stability. A natural edge, cracks, knots and bark can build character, but they must be cleaned, protected and prepared so the element does not move unpredictably after installation.
Routing the installation
Cables, LED profiles, fittings, connectors and power supplies must be planned into the lamp structure, not fitted at the end. The technical layer should be hidden, serviceable and routed so it does not disturb the natural form of the wood.
Light and temperature control
We match power, colour temperature and diffusion to the lamp function. A mood wall light works differently from a floor lamp or a longer form above a table. Heat dissipation and safe distance between the light source and wood are also important.
Mounting and finishing
